  • Gleeden; the discreet dating platform for married people clocks 1.3 Million Indian subscribers

    New Delhi: Gleeden; World’s first discreet extramarital dating platform today announced that they have crossed 1.3 Million Indian subscribers. Their subscription rate skyrocketed over the past three months.  During September, October and November the subscriptions from India grew by +246% when compared to June, July and August.

    Gleeden has been growing at a fast pace in the India market since the beginning of 2020. The platform has gained almost 3 lakh subscribers in the last 4 months of which 2.5 lakh users were added in the past two months. Overall, the time spent on the website tripled w.r.t 2019 as even after the lockdown restrictions were lifted, people still feel safer with virtual dating VS a real life meet, as the risk to catch the virus still remains high.  

    The platform also gained massive grounds in Tier1 cities with Bengaluru claiming the 1st spot with 16.2% of the total Gleeden community in India and has shown a +17% growth in terms of new user acquisition since March 2020. They are followed by Mumbai with 15.6% of Gleeden users and with a growth rate of +14%. Delhi has moved upto the 3rd spot with 15.4% of Indian users and a welcome growth of +25%. Kolkata moves down to the 4th spot with 14% of Gleeden users and a growth of +15%. Pune shows the most promising stats of the lot and has moved upto the 5th spot with 7.3% of Gleeden users but their growth rate is massive with +57% of newly added users since March 2020. They are followed by Hyderabad with 6.8% of Gleeden users and a surprising growth rate of +47%. Chennai moves down the ladder to 7th spot with 5.5% of Gleeden users and a steady growth of +20%, they are closely followed by Ahmedabad with 5.3% concentration of Gleeden users and a growth rate of +20% as well.  Kochi and Gurgaon are 9th & 10th on the list with 5.2% and 4.3% subscribers respectively. The growth rate in Kochi is +21% and Gurgaon has a slightly higher growth rate with +28%.


    Speaking about Gleeden’s growing popularity in the Indian market, Ms. Sybil Shiddell, Country Manager, India states that, “We are pleased to see the nation wide acceptance of our extramarital dating platform.     Gleeden also informed that Indians stay in chat slightly longer than Europeans >>on average 3.5 hours per day VS 3 hours(From March 2020 to Nov 2020). The engagement of couples is at its peak during the weekend, the peak hours though remain constant all throughout the week i.e 10 pm – 12 am.

    The men users on the platform are spending more since the beginning of the lockdown as there has been a +45% increase in the expenditure. Moreover, men are now buying more packs 400 (+30% since the lockdown. The pack 400 costs 7000 INR). Men are also more active on the platform w.r.t numbers though women users who are active spend 2*more time on the platform chatting & exploring as compared to a male user.
