Gold, silver tumble again

Gold and silver again tumbled at Delhi’s bullion market, today, on weak global cues. Silver nose-dived 6,000 rupees, to 53,200 rupees per kilo. Gold slid 225 rupees, to 22,120 rupees per ten grams.

In the global markets, silver fell 12 per cent, to 34.66 dollars an ounce, taking its losses to 28 per cent this week–the steepest weekly fall since 1975, on imposition of higher margins. Gold lost more than 43 dollars, to 1,473 dollars an ounce.
