Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today said government has decided to promote disinvestment to boost professionalism. He was speaking at ISA-steel conclave 2019 in New Delhi.

The Minister said Government will have the ownership of Central Public Sector Undertakings but will do equity dilution gradually. He said, India will achieve the target of 5 trillion dollar economy by year 2024 with support of all the industries, including steel. Mr. Pradhan who also holds the charge of Petroleum Ministry said, India is building 100 billion energy infrastructure in the hydrocarbon sector and steel industry has a golden opportunity to work in this sector.
