  • Govt planning to jail those depositing their black money in Jandhan accounts of poor people: PM Narendra Modi

    rail-vikas-modiSpeaking at Bharatiya Janata Party’s parivartan rally in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, corruption has snatched rights of the poor and it has been the root of all ills.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that after demonetisation the corrupt and black money holders are suffering and the poor are enjoying. He said, after note ban move, black money is coming out and the corrupt are depositing it into the accounts of the poor.

    Mr Modi said, he is planning to make some arrangements so that corrupt people, who have deposited black money in Jandhan accounts, are jailed and the account holders are benefitted. He asks, people not to withdraw money deposited by blackmarketeers in their Jandhan accounts.

    Prime Minister appealed to people to stand with him in the fight against these evils. Mr Modi urged people to bear some inconvenience following demonetisation. He said, there is no adverse impact of demonetisation on agriculture as sowing of crops has increased compared to the last year.

    Responding to criticism over long queues outside banks and ATMS since demonetisation, Mr Modi accused his rivals of trying to spread disinformation and despair. He said this will be the last queue for the people who have been standing in line for the last 70 years for their daily needs.

    The Prime Minister appealed, especially the youth to help make India a cashless economy. Without naming anyone, Mr Modi said parties in power in the past had worked only for themselves and for their near ones, but not for the poor. He said to eradicate poverty from the country, it has to be removed first from big states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra and West Bengal.
