Kokrahhar : The festival of ‘Gurpurab’ was celebrated with great pomp and show by 12th Battalion, the Sikh Light Infantry at Patharghat Army Camp in Kokrajhar.

Gurupurab marks the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, who was  the founder and propagator of the fifth largest religion in India, Sikhism.

A total of 120 students, 400 locals particaped in the celebration along with civil dignitaries including BTC Executive Members Doneswar war Goyari, and several others.

The army pledged to strive to live upto the message of the Sikh Guru, that is, peace and harmony and prosperity of all.
