  • Hagrama inaugurated Model hospital, lays foundation stone for Sub Divisional Civil Hospitals

    Kokrajhar: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Hagrama Mohilary on Monday inaugurated the newly constructed 30 bedded Serfanguri Model Hospital including residential quarters for doctors at Serfanguri in Kokajhar in presence of Kokajhar West MLA Rabiram Narzary.

    The Model hospital was constructed at a cost of Rs 4,75, 74, 313 and will have emergency service, operation theater, X-ray, ultra sonography services, laboratory,, labour room, neonatal(new born), dental unit among others.

    Mohilay also laid the foundation stone for construction of the hundred bedded Sub Divisional Civil Hospital at Gossaigaon in Kokrajhar The scheme will be implemented at a cost of Rs. 21,82,08,890 under NHM, Assam.

    The BTC chief also laid the foundation stone for construction of the hundred bedded Sub Divisional Civil Hospital at Bhetagaon in Chirang.

    This scheme will be implemented after the upgradation of Bhetagaon CHC to Bijni Sub Divisional Civil Hospital at a cost of Rs. 15,32,43,139 crore under NHM, Assam on turn key basis.

    The main hospital building will be of G-2 with the provislon of rooms for out patient department, ophthamology department, immunisation room, ten bedded ward, minor operation theatre, mothers’ breast feeding room, doctors’ rooms, nursing rooms, diagnostic/USG unit, laboratory unit, clinical pathology unit, micro biology   department, emergency/casualty department, dressing room, auto claver, store room and canteen.

    Addressing the gathering in a meeting held on the occasion,  Mohilary said “It is an auspicious day for the people of Bijni as the Bethagaon CHC will be upgraded to Bijni Sub Divisional Civil Hospital. Now, the people of this area will have better health care services than before”.

    He thanked to the vision and leadership of the present state government led by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for constantly helping them in every aspects. He further informed his desire to set up a para medical college in Bijni for providing education to unemployed youths in health related courses.
