Hair Trends for 2022

Haircut Trends

  1. Classic Bob: For short hair trends, short bobs with or without bangs for straight/wavy hair will be popular in 2022. It’s clearly leading the charge, recently returning to the classic chin-length look, and other stylists are praising long bobs, which are a tiny bit longer in front. If you have finer hair, this will help you achieve a cleaner line.
  2. Wispy Bangs: Curtain bangs aren’t going anywhere just yet, and blunt ones are more in vogue, but if your temptation to try a fringe comes with a reluctance to go too heavy, you’ll welcome the wispy-bangs trend. This 90s-inspired look will be popular in 2022. We will see lots of wispy bangs with layers around the face, creating more movement and texture. Wispy bangs can add a lot of movement and softness to long, thick hair.
  3. Edgy mullet with bangs: The mullet, whether straight or wavy, has always been a crowd favourite. Layers add volume and texture, though a sleek style would also look great. This would make a bold statement in 2022.

Hair Colour Trends

  1. Chocolate caramel balayage : A perfect example inspired by your favourite desserts – the melting colour creates such a delicious colour blend that you can’t look away
  2. Sun-Kissed Hair: To achieve the perfect sun-kissed look, use light brown and warm blonde highlights
  3. Money Piece: If you’re looking for a new look but don’t want to go all out, consider adding streaks to the front of your hair, also known as the money piece. It’s a great way to draw attention to your features and liven up your hairstyle without colouring your entire head.
  4. A splash of colour: According to hair colour summer 2022 trends, almost anything goes if it’s colourful. Don’t worry, you don’t have to go full colour right away (unless you want to) because bright highlights and coloured tips are also in this season.
  5. Reverse Balayage: Balayage has been the most popular trend in recent seasons, and it shows no signs of slowing down. However, due to its popularity, you may have already tried it on your locks. This is why we’d like to introduce reverse balayage. Instead of having your roots darker than the rest of your hair, go for a root colour that is one shade lighter than your natural colour. This style not only looks great, but it is also low maintenance and easier to grow out.

Hairstyling Trends

  1. Bouncy blowouts are back in style for 2022. Styling limp hair with that holistic volume has always been a great way to style your locks, whether they are short, medium or long
  2. Retro/Long waves/Effortless curls: Long waves can be easily created by brushing through larger curls. These soft tendrils of hair complement every face shape and texture
  3. Loose Buns/Messy Buns are something that people enjoy and love to style for any occasion; accessorising it is one of the most important aspects of how the style finally looks
