HC stays I&B order to re-schedule broadcast time of Bigg Boss

In a temporary relief for the producers of hit TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss’, the Bombay High Court on Thursday stayed I&B Ministry’s order to re-schedule the broadcast time of the programme.
The High Court will also issue a notice to the Ministry scheduling the next hearing for 22nd November.
As a result, the show can now be aired during the prime time till then.
The court remarked that the Ministry should have issued a show cause notice before directing the channel to broadcast the show between 11 PM and 5 AM.
The Ministry had on Wednesday asked Colors Channel to re-schedule the broadcast time on the ground that the programme was unfit to be watched by children and “offended good taste and decency”.
