    Published on October 6, 2010

Heartbeat Experts, a leading provider of Stakeholder and Key Opinion Leader management solutions for the Life Sciences industry, announced today the signing of six new contracts with clients in Asia in the third quarter of 2010. The projects are being managed from Heartbeat Experts’ Asian headquarters in Singapore and by local-market experts based in Australia, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, India and China. These projects follow a recent global expansion of Heartbeat Experts, which opened offices in Asia in the third quarter of this year.

Heartbeat Experts will be deploying these solutions for thirteen APAC markets, including China, Korea, Australia, Japan, India, Russia, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. These projects address varied business objectives, reflecting the range of services delivered by Heartbeat Experts, including Key Opinion Leader mapping, policy and market access strategy, pricing and reimbursement, health economics (HEOR) and pharmacoeconomics.

Larry Cohen, President of Heartbeat Experts, said, “Signing six contracts rapidly in Asia reflects the importance of these markets to the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries. Our clients are focusing on these markets for revenue growth, resulting in a strong need for influence mapping on the local market level. Our ability to deliver local-market intelligence fits perfectly with their growth strategies.”

“Our clients are looking to structure KOL management in ways never approached before in Asia,” said Keren Priyadarshini, Head of Asia business for Heartbeat Experts. “In the past, limitations on access to data and dynamic healthcare environments have hindered engagements with KOLs and market access stakeholders. Our enterprise technology combined with our data built on local language sources, and our local market knowledge has been a key factor to our rapid success in Asia.”

Koen Janssens, Executive Vice President, added, “We were chosen to lead these projects because of our strong local presence and the capability to deliver intelligence derived from local experts. I am extremely proud of the team we have built, comprised of researchers based in Singapore and market access and KOL management experts based in each local market.”
