On 5th September, 2021, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata, celebrated its 21st Foundation Day marking the completion of 20 years of excellence in higher education. To make the moment significant and momentous, the Institute organized its Foundation Day celebration programme virtually on a hybrid platform.The Ceremony was blessed by Swami Atamapriyanandaji Maharaj, Pro-Chancellor, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Belur Math and Padma Vibhushan Professor M. M. Sharma, FNA, FRS, Emeritus Professor of Eminence, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai who was the Chief Guest for the programme. The day also witnessed the launch of the special issue of ‘The Heritage Herald’ the bi-annual newsletter of Heritage Institute of Technology and a special film recalling some of the glorious moments displayed in an archival format celebrating the special occasion.  It had been a culture and system at Heritage Institute of Technology to felicitate teachers for their outstanding contributions offering value based education to the students as well as contributing significantly in Research and Development.

On this occasion, Prof. Sujoy Saha, Assistant Professor, from Department of Computer Science Engineering, was felicitated for outstanding research and development and Prof. Soumya Chatterjee, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was felicitated for Best Teaching. The entire programme was organized virtually and witnessed a huge participation from the students, faculty members, alumni, staff and well wishers of the Institute. During the programme, Shri P.R.Agarwala, Chairman, Heritage Institute of Technology addressed the audience reflecting some of the nostalgic moments down the memory lane. Shri Vikram Swarup, Vice-Chairman, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata, spoke about the vision of the Trust starting from School Education to Higher Education and beyond. The other Trustee members of the Institute including Shri H. K. Chaudhary, Chairman, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Shri Sajjan Bhajanka, Secretary, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Shri H. P. Budhia, Trustee, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Shri V. Saran, Trustee, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Shri N. P. Dalmia, Trustee, Kalyan Bharti Trust and other Trustee members also congratulated the faculty members, students, alumni and staff virtually for their efforts in creating a ‘Centre of Excellence in Higher Education’ thus celebrating this momentous occasion.
