  • Heritage Institute the only college from Bengal to win Texas Instruments India Analog Design Contest

    Texas Instruments (TI) India Analog Design Contest 2012-2013 is the fourth edition of TI Analog Design Contest in India where 350 teams from 102 Texas Instrumentscolleges across India were shortlisted to participate in Phase 1 and the students submitted their final project reports and You Tube videos of project demonstration. All submissions were reviewed by a panel of experts. The reviewers paid attention to a number of aspects, such as satisfying the rules of the contest, novelty/innovation, completeness, innovative use of analog components, and attention to system optimization, quality of the final report, video demonstration and performance in Phase 1A.  Based on their recommendation, TI have shortlisted 23 projects as winners in Phase 1, 40 projects as consolation prize winners, 12 projects for paper presentation and 34 projects for poster presentation.     To a great honour and achievement, from the state of West Bengal only students of Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata has won in the TI Analog Design Phase I contest. Jyotirmoy Guha,  Arka De,  Saroj Kumar Jha and Aditya Gupta’ from final year Btech in Electronics and Communication Engineering have brought great honour to Heritage Institute by winning Rs. 10,000 prize money in the ‘ Texas Instruments India Analog Design Contest Phase I  among 350 participants from 102 colleges in India.  The winners were guided by Professor Mousiki Kar, Professor, Electronics and Communication Engineering Department Heritage Institute. The award was handed over on 05, April 2013 in The NIMHANS Convention Center, Bangalore.
