Hari Shankar Singhania Elastomer & Tyre Research Institute (HASETRI) was recently declared winner of the PHD Chamber Annual Award for Excellence 2014 under category Excellence In Skill Development. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways of India, handed over the Award and Citation to Mr. Arun K Bajoria, President & Director, JK Tyre & Industries Limited and Dr. R Mukopadhyay, Director and CE, HASETRI in Le Meridien, New Delhi on 20 December.

HASETRI is India’s first and foremost independent Research and Testing Center, which fulfils the Nation’s need for developing newer and better technologies for Elastomer and Tyres.

Established in 1997, PHD Chamber Annual Awards for Excellence recognises Indian businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals for their outstanding achievements / contributions in select areas and to promote corporate and individual initiatives in economic, social and educational areas.

The distinguished Jury who deliberated to finalise the winners this year included Mr. Sudarshan Agarwal, Former Governor of Uttarakhand and Sikkim; Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal, Joint Managing Director, Hero MotorCorp Ltd. and Mr. S. Y. Quraishi, Former Chief Election Commissioner, under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Dr. Justice A. S. Anand, Former Chief Justice of India.

HASETRI is India’s first and foremost independent Research and Testing Center, to cater to the need of rubber and allied industries at National and International level.

HASETRI is recognized under SIRO (Scientific and Industrial Research Organization) by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt. of India. HASETRI is also acknowledged by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and other universities for registration leading to higher studies.
