  • Hong Kong Trade Development Council along with Gurgaon Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) jointly hold a seminar for Gurgaon Business Houses and Entrepreneurs

    Gurgaon : Hong Kong Trade Development Council along with the Gurgaon Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) jointly held a business seminar in Gurgaon with an aim to raise the awareness among local entrepreneurs across industry sector including those from electronics, ICT, Food and services.

    HKTDC Business Seminaraims to raise the awareness among local entrepreneurs and businessmen about Hong Kong being an excellent platform to expand their business globally.  Over 100+ Entrepreneurs and small business owners visited the seminar to learn how to take advantage of the HKTDC platform and services.

    The seminar informed Indian entrepreneurs about the array of business services provided by HKTDC. HKTDC imparts value additions such as providing marketing opportunities, market intelligence and SME development programmes that help Indian businesses grasp international business opportunities.

    Present on the occasion was Billy Wong, Deputy Director, HKTDC Research. Addressing the local business houses in Gurgaon said “We are delighted to offer our HKTDC platform which will help SMEs and entrepreneurs in Gurgaon to exponentially grow their business. We help SMEs across big and small cities in India to take their products and services to a global audience.”

    The seminar apprised the city entrepreneurs with Hong Kong’s business advantage as a gateway for businesses to reach out to China and other international markets via Hong Kong. Billy Wong further added, “Hong Kong-India bilateral trade has clocked among the highest growth among Hong Kong’s top 30 partner countries in 2017-18.India is Hong Kong’s seventh-largest trading partner globally with bilateral trade of around US$34.11 billion in 2017, at an impressive increase of 27% over 2016, and a clear indication of the strong growing trade ties between the two countries.”

    Addressing the local business houses and entrepreneurs here, Rampat Gupta, Delhi Consultant, HKTDC said, “India and Hong Kong have a long and close business relationship. While India will continue to take the lead in regional economic growth, the HKTDC can act as an information and market intelligence hub for Indian enterprises to expand their market globally.
