A World Management Conference on Ëmeging Issues in Management began at Panaji in Goa today.Union Minister for Human Resource Development Dr. M. Mangapati Pallam Raju inaugurated the two day conference and the Minister of State for HRD Dr. Shashi Tharoor was the guest of honour.

In his inaugural address Dr. Pallam Raju called upon Management experts to make efforts for capacity building.He said,India faces a failure of system due to shortage of capacity that leads to corruption. Hence, there is a need for capacity building,he added.

The Union Minister also emphasised the need for creation of opportunities for the vast number of youth in the country.Dr. Raju expressed hope that the conference will go a long way to deliberate on global management issues.

Nearly 250 delegates are attending the conference jointly organised by IIM Bangalore,IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Kolkata.
