  • Hyderabad to be the venue for Gujarat Govt’s Garvi Gurjari’s National Buyer Seller Meet 2019 Handloom & Handicrafts

    Hyderabad :Gujarat Government’s Garvi Gurjari – National Buyer Seller Meet 2019 on Handloom & Handicrafts will be held in Hyderabad at Hitex Exhibition Center on February 25, 26 and 27.

    The meet organized by Gujarat State Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited will be formally inaugurated on Monday by A.K. Jha, IFS, Managing Director, Gujarat State Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited

    The main idea of the event is to bringing artisans on a single platform to interact with local buyer from Hyderabad as well as buyers from all over India and enhance their business potential.

    Handloom and handicrafts are unique in India and this fair is also one of its kind initiative by a state government to highlight these various Indian crafts. It will be a curtain raiser to connect the craft, the craftsmen and the buyers from across the country under one roof.

    Over 100 national buyers representing various states of India are attending this 3-day event. It is aimed at facilitating B2B meetings between the national buyers and artisans of Gujarat. Special exhibition on Gujarat’s art & crafts showcasing the exquisite creativity and vibrant designs of the State of Gujarat is the unique feature of the Event.

    A Seminar on “Handloom & Handicrafts – The Way Forward” will be held in conjunction with the meet.  The speakers will through light market trends and strategies towards effective marketing of the products.

    The general public are invited to visit the exhibition.  It will be open from 3pm to 6pm on Monday and 10 am to 5pm on 26th and 27th.

    The crafts of Gujarat demonstrate the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature and epitomize sustainable living for future generations. The artisans of Gujarat make ingenious use of natural and locally available materials to create magnificent products. With simple tools, adherence to traditional practices and extraordinary imaginative skills, the artisans of Gujarat develop products, unmatched in quality and creativity.

    With the changing time, traditional skills are now applied to create products for the contemporary world, demonstrating convincingly that natural and handmade products are adaptable over time.
