Finance Minister P Chidambaram on Thursday said agencies like Income Tax Department and Enforcement Directorate will start probing IPL spot-fixing scandal once police come up with “concrete evidence”.

“There is a police case. Police are investigating the matter. Delhi police and Mumbai police are investigating. When the investigation reaches a particular stage and when a concrete evidence is available, other agencies will step in.

“The Income Tax Department, the ED will step in at the appropriate stage. I don’t know whether the stage has arrived or not,” Chidambaram said while replying to query on IPL spot fixing scandal.

The IPL spot-fixing scandal is currently being probed by Delhi Police and Mumbai Police.
