ICICI Bank inaugurates Gramin branch at Amargarh Chowki in Rajasthan

Amargarh Chowki:  ICICI Bank Ltd, India’s largest private sector bank, inaugurated its 50th branch in Rajasthan at Amargarh Chowki in Sawai Madhopur district, as part of its financial inclusion plan that aims at opening branches in villages devoid of any banking facility. The Bank has 440 such branches in unbanked villages across India.

Mr Namo Narayan Meena, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Finance, Government of India, inaugurated the branch. At the occasion, he said: “It is wonderful to have an ICICI Bank branch in Amargarh Chowki. The people in and around this village will benefit greatly from the Bank’s pioneering products and excellent customer service. I am confident that this new branch will have a positive impact on the socio-economic landscape of the region.”

Also present at the occasion, Mr. Mohit Sahney , Zonal Head, (RIBG) Rajasthan, ICICI Bank, said, “Our endeavor has always been make banking convenient to customers. This new branch is a step in providing customers in unbanked villages access to the Bank’s customer oriented services  and is in accordance with our “Khayaal Aapka” philosophy of keeping the customer’s needs as the focal point of our business.”

The branch will offer the entire range of ICICI Bank products. This includes rural and agriculture related loan products such as Kisan Credit Card, Agri-Term loan, dairy loans, irrigation loans, tractor loans, loans to Self Help Groups, commodity-based finance and savings accounts.

The branch will remain open for customers from 9:00 am to 12.00 PM from Monday to Saturday.

ICICI Bank has a network of over 3,600 branches and 11,100 ATMs spread across the country. The Bank has over 400 branches in Rajasthan, of which more than 262 are in rural and semi-urban locations.
