Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) celebrated its 14th Foundation Day on 8 September 2022. During the celebrations, faculty members, alumni, and the students of IIIT-Delhi, commemorated the academic and research excellence in the last years.
IIIT-Delhi organized a host of activities as part of the observance of its Foundation Day. The day started with a noble cause of Blood Donation and a mass Plantation Drive of planting 1000 trees in and around the campus. On the occasion a public lecture was also organized in the campus by Dr Chayanika Shah, an independent queer feminist researcher, educationist, and retired Physics lecturer from Mumbai. She spoke at length about ‘Inclusive STEM Education:Who Benefits’. On the occasion faculty, officers, and support staff members were also awarded for their various achievements and contributions throughout the year. For first time IIIT-Delhi also felicitated three alumni members with Young Alumni Award.
There was also a Dean’s List Award, adjudged by the Dean of Academic Affairs, Dean of Innovation Research and Development, Dean of Student Affairs, Dean of Communication and Alumni Affairs. The event witnessed vibrant cultural performances by the students which concluded with the release of sky lanterns.
