Guwahati: Five members of a family have committed suicide in Gosaigaon under Kokrajhar district of Assam. Kokrajhar police said the head of the family, his wife and his three girls were found dead in their home Monday morning. Five people of the same family committed suicide in Tulsibil under Gosaigaon police station. The deceased include husband and wife and their three daughters. The incident has created a sensation across the region. The police is thoroughly investigating the matter. According to police, the deceased include Tulsibil resident Nirmal Pal, his wife Malika Pal, three daughters Pooja Pal, Neha Pal and Sneha Pal at Gosaigaon. The cause of suicide has not been ascertained. Some people say that Nirmal Pal had a debt of lakhs of rupees, which caused him to be very disturbed. That is why he and his family embraced death. Large police officers are present on the spot. The incident is under investigation
