    GUWAHATI : Home Minister Amit Shah said at a public meeting in Imphal yesterday that the law and order of Manipur was discussed earlier, but Manipur has never been closed after the BJP government was formed here. Now Manipur is on the path of development, “Shah said. In the last three years, we have changed the face of Manipur. The home minister said that there was a flood in this area earlier but now there is a flood of development.

    He said terrorism has decreased here and terrorists are waiting to come into the mainstream. He said Modiji took several measures to ensure peace and development in the North East… 644 cadres of eight extremist groups surrendered with more than 2,500 weapons and joined the mainstream. Shah said the northeast was known for separatism and violence. But in the last six years, almost all armed groups have put up weapons one after another. Violence has stopped.

    I hope the remaining armed groups will stay away from violence and join the mainstream. Amit Shah said that I am proud to say that the Prime Minister has done a flood of development in north-east India within six and a half years. He further said that manipur had forgotten to demand inner line permits for the original inhabitants, in 2019, Modiji decided that not giving the inner line permit to Manipur is an injustice to the natives of Manipur and did the job of granting inner line permits without demands. Amit Shah said the inner line permit is Prime Minister Modi’s biggest gift to the people of Manipur.

Under the inner line permit system, people going to Manipur from other states of the country will have to take the first mission. These missions are called inner line permit systems. The objective of the system is to prevent people from other states from settling in the state. The entire system aims to secure the population, land, job and other facilities of the original citizens of the state. Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Imphal yesterday under his visit. In the meantime, Amit Shah inaugurated several projects. Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Imphal. Amit Shah said that development has started in Manipur. Amit Shah said that we have changed the face of Manipur in the last 3 years.
