ED attaches Delhi based lawyer Rohit Tandon’s assets of Rs 42 cr

New Delhi: Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju has said that India must look beyond Indian ocean and Japan beyond pacific ocean, in the interest of Asia and pacific and for the whole world.
He was addressing a conference on ‘Indo Pacific region: Converging India-Japan Interests’ in New Delhi yesterday . Mr. Rijiju said, the two countries continue to work for the peace and prosperity in the Indo pacific region, and added that the two democracies are not exclusivists in their outlook but work for the welfare of the whole world.
Stressing upon the shift in policy from Look-East to Act-East, which calls for action on ground, the minister highlighted the geograpical importance of North-East India as gateway to South East Asia.
Japan’s Ambassador Kenji Hiramatsu reiterated his country’s commitment to strategic partnership with India. He expressed Japan’s readiness to play bigger role in Indian ocean and to take up more projects in Northeast India connecting it with rest of the South East Asia.
