  • India-South Africa Test series ends with even honours

    India have ended their three-Test Cricket series against South Africa with even honours, with the final Test at Cape Town ending in a draw on Thursday.

    Set a stiff victory target of 340 runs, India were 166 for Three in their second innings on the final day when the two sides decided to call off the play as the match was certain to end in a draw.

    Sachin Tendulkar on 14, and V.V.S. Laxman on 32 were the two not out batsmen. The batsmen out were Virender Sehwag for 11, Gautam Gambhir for 64 and Rahul Dravid – 31.

    The hosts had won the first Test at Centurion, while India emerged winners in the second match at Durban.

    The final scores:

    South Africa – 362 and 341.

    India – 364 and 166 for 3.
