India, Spain should strengthen bilateral cooperation to fight terrorism: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India and Spain should strengthen their bilateral cooperation in the fight against terrorism as both the nations have faced the security challenge.

Talking to mediapersons about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Spain visit, MEA Spokesperson Gopal Baglay said Mr. Modi and Spanish President Mariano Rajoy discussed the issue of terrorism and others during their restricted meeting in Madrid yesterday.

He said the Prime Minister invited Spanish entities to invest in various sectors in India. Both the leaders also discussed on wind and solar energy, civil aviation, cultural relations and astro-physics among others.

Highlighting the Prime Minister’s meeting with the Spanish CEOs, the Spokesperson said that the thrust was to present India as the land of opportunity. Mr.Modi highlighted the steps being taken by the government to make India a proper destination for the investors. He also asked Spain to be partner in Indian film industry.
