  • India to send consignment of medical supplies to Wuhan; flight to evacuate Indian Nationals on return

    Government of India will be sending a consignment of medical supplies on board a relief flight to Wuhan later this week to aid and assist China in its efforts against the COVID-19 epidemic. Indian Embassy in Beijing has said that on its return, the flight will have some limited capacity to take on board Indian nationals wishing to return to India from Wuhan/Hubei Province. Many Indian nationals currently in Wuhan/Hubei Province and wishing to return to India have already been in touch with Indian embassy in the past two weeks.

    Indian Embassy has also urged all Indian nationals from Wuhan/Hubei Province who intend to avail this flight for India and have not yet contacted @EOIBeijing, to urgently call the hotlines 008618610952903 and 008618612083629 or send email to [email protected] before 1900 hours local time today (17 February 2020).

    Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed solidarity with the le of China during this outbreak and offered India’s assistance to face the challenge.
