  • India and UAE have agreed to operate special flights between the two countries between 12-26th July 2020 to help facilitate stranded citizens and residents of the UAE to get back to their places of stay .

    Minister Hardeep Puri in a tweet said that this is part of the close strategic partnership between the Govts of India & UAE, and with a view to assisting UAE residents who are presently in India to return to UAE, the Civil Aviation Authorities of both countries have agreed to operationalise a special arrangement.

    Indian carriers operating repatriation flights & UAE carriers operating charter flights to bring Indian citizens from UAE to India can now carry ICA approved UAE residents from India to UAE. This arrangement will be in place for a period of 15 days from 12-26 July, 2020.

    UAE had earlier announced that it is opening up to allow residents who are stranded at different parts of the world due to Covid lockdown to return . The UAE residents however, have to apply for a special permit after registering on the UAE government’s website.
