Mumbai :  Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad emerged as the winner of the CFA Institute Research Challenge India Central Zonal Final  (www.iaipirc.org), after competing with six other student teams from leading business schools on the subject company ‘Cadila Health Care’. The competition organized by the Indian Association of Investment Professionals (IAIP) is supported by National Stock Exchange (NSE)  (www.nseindia.com), Bloomberg  (www.bloomberg.com), Bloomberg TV  (www.bloombergtv.com, www.yourmoneysite.com) and Corporate Bridge  (www.educorporatebridge.com) as sponsors and long-term corporate partners. The panel of judges was Mr. Mangesh Anaokar, Vice President – Investment Banking,  Religare Capital Markets; Mr. Neelkanth Mishra, India Equity Strategist, Credit Suisse; Mr. Harsha Upadhyaya, Senior Vice President and Head of Equities at Kotak Mahindra AMC and Mr. Prashanth Y Narayan, Executive Vice President, Head – PMS Investments, ING Investment Management (I) Pvt. Ltd.

“CFA Institute Research Challenge was earlier undertaken in only four zonal rounds viz. East, West, North and South. However, due to increasing popularity of this global challenge we have now extended the competition to other regions thereby conducting the Central Zonal competition. The Central Zonal winners – Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad have upheld the essence of the competition by demonstrating good analytical skills in conducting equity research in an ethical manner and presenting the research and investment recommendations to industry stalwarts comprising of the panel of judges”, said Kishor Bagri, CFA, Director, Indian Association of Investment Professionals (IAIP).

CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual, global educational initiative promoting the best practices in equity research among the next generation of analysts through hands-on mentoring and intensive training in company analysis and presentation skills.
