On 17^th December, The Heritage School Kolkata organized its annual sports for the Senior School students in a grand way. The inaugural session of the event was addressed by Indian International Cricketer Mr. Shahbaz Ahmed as the Chief Guest of the event followed by Prof. M.Mathirajan, Chief Research Scientist, Indian Institute of Science as the Guest of Honour.

The event witnessed huge participation from the students of classes 5 to 12 who actively participated in the various events organized by the School starting from long jump, race, drill, martial arts and many more.

During the inaugural address Mr. Ahmed ignited the students by advising them to focus on their strengths. “Believe in yourself and grab the opportunities in your life” said Mr. Ahmed encouraging the students.

Prof. Mathirajan spoke about the art of Sporting which is a unique way to enhance intelligence among the budding students.

On 9^th  and 10^th  December, the School organized the annual sports for the Junior and  middle school students which was addressed by Arjuna Awardee Mr. Mangal Singh Champia and Mr. Debabrata Das who is currently the Joint Secretary of The Cricket Association of Bengal.

“I am thrilled and happy to see the students excited to participate in the annual sports with full enthusiasm,” said Ms. Seema Sapru, Principal, The Heritage School Kolkata.

“After the pandemic and the lockdown, it is nice to see the smiling faces of the students who are excited to participate in the annual sports,” said Ms. Runa Bhattacharya, Vice Principal, The Heritage School Kolkata.

The event was also addressed by Shri Vikram Swarup, Chairman of the School, Shri P.K.Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of Institutions, Kolkata and was coordinated by all the teachers and staff members who made these events successful.  Even the parents were also actively involved and there were some competitions to encourage the parents and enhance their active involvements.
