Landfall process of Super Cyclonic Storm Amphan over North West Bay of Bengal begins

Indian Railways have transported more than 23.5 lakhs passengers to their home states through Shramik Special trains in 20 days.
Subsequent to the Home Ministry’ direction, Indian Railways had decided to operate Shramik Special trains form 1st of this month.
Ministry of Railways in a statement said that so far, a total of 1,773 Shramik Special trains have been operationalized from various states across the country.
On Monday, a total of 205 such trains which is the highest so far in a single day, were operationalized with over 2.5 lakh passengers.
Proper screening of passengers is ensured before boarding the train. During the journey, passengers are given free meals and water.
