  • New Delhi : 14-year-old Arjun Bhati represented India at US Kids Junior Golf World Championship 2018 and bagged first position against America’s Aksel Moe during the three-level final match in Malaysia.

    Out of the 29 counties that participated in the tournament, Arjun secured  first position for India. He scored a total of 222 points followed by America and Vietnam at 2nd and 3rd position with 225 and 226 points respectively.

    A student of Greater Valley School, Greater Noida, Arjun has been playing golf for about five and half years now. Until now, he has participated in a total of 144 tournaments out of which he has won 107.

    “It was an incredible experience to play with international players of my age group. I feel proud to represent India, this is just the beginning and I hope I am able to make my country proud,” Arjun Bhati said.

    Commenting on his success, his coach, Monish Bindra said, “I am extremely delighted and proud of Arjun. He is an excellent player and has made India proud. He needs to be consistent with his performance for the future tournaments too.”

    Kids Golf World Championship Malaysia. In an attempt to grow junior golf throughout the world, the TPA will provide support and technical expertise for the Malaysian Championship in order to ensure a world-class experience for all players and families. The Kids Golf World Championship is presented by U.S. Kids Golf and managed by Concept Collaboration Sdn Bhd. The competition which was held for the 7th consecutive year in Malaysia is the international version of the prestigious U.S. Kids Golf tournament and provides an excellent opportunity for young people to compete and earn world amateur ranking points.
