  • New Delhi: Xebia Academy Global, the education Business unit of a Netherlands-based multi-national IT company Xebia, organised Crux 2019 — a Learning & Development Conference — with the theme “Knowledge Sharing Done Right”. Organised at Hotel Leela Ambience, Gurugram, the conference saw participation from the industry experts who deliberated on future proofing organizations in the Digital Age and also examined the readiness of organizations to adopt technology and develop a high-performing talent pool. The chief guest on the occasion was Dr MP Poonia, Vice Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Delegates from Microsoft, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), NIIT Technologies, Ericsson Global India, and CK Birla Group presented their views on technologies that will transform the learning ecosystem in organizations and reshape businesses.

    Dr MP Poonia, Vice Chairman, AICTE said, “The need is to fill the industry academia gap and Xebia is doing an excellent work as they design programmes for universities that will make students industry ready such as B.Tech in DevOps and B.tech in AI-ML. The need is to have such programmes in many other universities that will help meet the demand. We all know that digital transformation is accelerating growth and redefining the core of the businesses. Organizations can enhance productivity and performance of employees through a robust learning culture. The importance of skilling, re-skilling and up-skilling employees and creating an ecosystem of learning cannot be denied in the present scenario. The need is to integrate digital transformation as part of organizational culture, setting the foundation right to implement the transformation strategy, identifying the gaps and the challenges of technology adoption at an organizational level.”

    Focusing on the changing demands of the market and the unprecedented role of new technologies, Anand Sahay, CEO, Xebiasaid, “It is a time when we should discuss future skills and associated job roles, give a global perspective on skill shortage and how this crisis can affect organizational or industry growth. Digital transformation is accelerating growth and redefining the core of the businesses. To consolidate our position at global platform India should identify skill gaps and develop learning frameworks that will help build a network of professionals that are future ready.
