Hyderabad : Hyderabad Regional Chapter of IIID—Institute of Indian Interior Designers, the apex body for the field of Interior Design in India today celebrated its 23rd Foundation Day, Jalsa-2019 here in the city on Saturday night at Hotel ITC Kohenur, Madhapur, informed Aparna, Chairperson of IIID Hyderabad Chapter.

Interior Design professionals proved their cultural skills besides being good in their interior designing profession.  Many walked the ramp, sang songs, even danced and had a good break from their professional engagements that too with their family members as well as fellow professional’s family members.

It was a unique event commented Pallavi Anchuri, a member.

Welcoming the gathering Aparna, Chairperson said it was one of the biggest chapters in India and the event was a family affair. It was a get-together of all interior design professionals and their families, she said.

300 members comprises of architects, interior designers, trade members and educationists, their spouses, kids came on a single platform to celebrate the occasion

To mark the occasion and celebrate the same a fashion show was organised. Members, their spouses and kids walked in the ramp. The show had 45 members and 22kids participated in four sequences—Royal, James Bond and other

The winners of sports —Cricket, Shuttle, Table Tennis, Carrom competitions held in the last week of March were given away prizes. Several cultural programs held. Interior professionals sang songs and proved that some of them are good singers besides being good in interior designing profession and enthralled the audience. These include dance and singing by members and their families.

Hyderabad is one of the 31 regional chapters and Centres of IIID. The Hyderabad Regional Chapter founded in the year 1996 has about 600 members on its rolls.  IIID nationally has 6800 members from across the country
