International Day of Yoga celebrated on grand scale in Dhaka

The 5th International Day of Yoga was celebrated on a grand scale in Dhaka today. Around 7000 people participated in the programme organised at the Banga Bandhu stadium by the Indian High Commission.
A number of eminent personalities from the field of politics, sports, film actors and singers along with students from various parts of Dhaka participated in the event.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Dr A. K. Abdul Momen, Minister of Railways Md. Nurul Islam Sujan and State Minister of Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury participated in the programme. High Commissioner Smt. Riva Ganguly Das delivered the welcome remarks.
Experts and students of Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) demonstrated Common Yoga Protocol and yoga asanas. Similar events were also organized in other cities of Bangladesh
