The 25th edition of the International Film Festival of Kerala ,(IFFK) kicks off today evening. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the film festival today evening at 6 at the Nishagandhi auditorium in Thiruvananthapuram . Around 80 feature films from over 30 countries will be screened this year.
Bosnian film ‘Quo Vadis, Aida?’ will be the inaugural film of the festival.On account of pandemic , the festival is being held in 3 phases and different venues ,adhering to strict covid protocol. While prominent guests from across the globe will be joining the festival online, the duration of each phase is reduced to five days at each venue, with the first one ending on February 14 in Thiruvananthapuram.
The festival will be held from February 17th to 21 in Ernakulam, February 23rd to -27th at Thalassery and from March 1st to 5th at Palakkad. Every delegate and official taking part in the festival will be subjected to free antigen tests organised by the Academy, in association with the State Health Department.
