International Officer of Bucks New University, UK, Visited Lovely Professional University

Jalandhar: The International Officer Ms Helen Moore of Bucks New University, UK, visited Lovely Professional University. The purpose was to meet the higher authorities of the University to seek development of joint programmes and to speed up various student and faculty exchange programmes. She also interacted with about 200 students and members of the staff of the University, particularly, in relation to education, exchange programmes and job opportunities. ‘Bucks’ was ranked number one for Nursing, out of nine universities working in partnership with NHS London, in 2009; ranked number one for education provision in Child Nursing, second for Adult Nursing and third for Mental Health Nursing, putting it in the top three for all categories, In 2010.

Welcoming Ms Moore, the Chancellor of LPU, Mr Ashok Mittal said: “Our University prefers to accord a number of opportunities to our brilliant students. We really feel honoured when the personalities of importance and renowned educational sectors from the world show their interest in having collaborative programme with our university under mutual benefit for the students as well as the teachers of both the Universities. We are happy to receive the great message of the Vice-Chancellor of Bucks University forwarded through Ms Moore that ‘Partnership is key to their success’ and that ‘their university continues to renew itself for every succeeding generation of students and employees’.”

On this occasion, Ms Moore said: “We are really impressed by the world class Infrastructure, Laboratories, Libraries, Hostels and Multitude of students from different areas and lands presenting mini global environment at the Campus. Here, we have grasped that LPU has great potentialities in regards to students, teachers related Educational and Cultural Exchange Programmes.” In anticipation to work together efficiently, She further added: “The vision of our university is to achieve international recognition for specialist areas of expertise. As the only publicly-funded higher education institution in Buckinghamshire, it provides quality education to develop and build the potential of individuals and organizations alike.”
