Irobokid introduces special summer programs on Robotics, as a part of the Prime Ministers “Make in India” & Infrastructure Initiative

Mumbai: An endeavor to make every child ‘Future Ready’, Irobokid introduces incredible Summer Camp based on the Prime Minister’s campaign of ‘Make in India’. The week long summer camp by Irobokid is an opportunity for children to embrace technology creatively and challenge their skills by exploring the world of machinery integrated with technology.

The irobokid workshops is an effort to promote the ‘Make in India’ concept amongst young minds to ensure a developed nation through a self created world class infrastructure by the future leaders of India. The concept of Robotics is an amazing synergy of the Sciences of electronics, mechanics, engineering and software and an early learning of this subject is bound to make a difference in the future of the Indian Infrastructure.

The workshops are slated from April onwards, the summer camp will be held across Mumbai at various locations and will have three special programs namely iMachines, iConstruct and iBot, for children in the age group of 6 – 14 years. iRobokid which is focused at introducing and enlightening young minds with the concept of Robotics, a branch of technology dealing with the research and development of Robots, aspires to make the learning enjoyable and interesting for children.

Meant of Children in the age category 6-7 years, the program of iConstruct will help them understand the importance and maintenance of ports, dockyards, containers and ships. The activity includes building a container terminal comprising of cargo ships, trailer, container crane and portal crane and demonstrating how the containers travel and function in and out of the terminal. This program will help kids comprehend the way goods reach the market, stimulate trade and contribute to the economic growth.

To enhance and empower the little brains, iRobokid introduces iMachines for children in the age group of 7-9 years, a program which offers exposure to the functioning of power tools and machinery aiding in better understanding of its mechanism. The program helps explore the world of manufacturing through fun filled activities like building a factory comprising of forklift, drilling machine, portal crane and trailer while demonstrating the raw materials entry into the factory, moving it to the machining stations and making a useful product out of it.

While the third program for children between 9-14 years of age; iBot will lead them to the World of Robotics. Indian industries can grow immensely through robotics and automation, which holds the future of every industry. In this program, children will build a fully automated robot quality control station in factory comprising of conveyor belt, automated sorting turn table, robotic arm and fork lift. They can program the stations to work together and check the quality of the products manufactured, reject the defective ones and move the finished goods to storage.

The aim of these program is to have more “ Hands on – Mind On “  practical education for our children and will be divided in five sessions per week.

The innovative robotic sessions will help children explore the tremendous possibilities and opportunities in the world of Science and Robotics while learning strong fundamentals of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education.

While the program mentioned above a specially designed for the summer batch. Four courses namely iBuilder (Age group 5-7 years) iEngineer (Ages group 7-9 years), iProto (Age group 9-14 years), iChallenger (iProto Certified) are held on a regular year round basis.
