  • ISBR Vishleshan 2021 Invites Papers on Post Covid Practices

    Bengaluru: ISBR Business School today inaugurated Vishleshan 2021 a platform for students, research scholars, academicians, and corporate delegates across the globe to showcase their research, explore ideas, and present papers on “Post Covid Practices 1.0″. Vishleshan aims to identify future changes, challenges, and opportunities in management, both from the academicians’ and practitioners’ perspectives.

    Vishleshan-ISBR is inviting papers from students, research scholars, practitioners on topics like Human Resources Practices in Post Covid Era, Marketing Strategies for navigating through Post Covid Era, Operational Strategies during Post Covid, Economic Policies to bring new opportunities during Post Covid Era, Handling Disruptions in Finance & Accounting during Post Covid Era, Remodeling Businesses in Post-Covid Era, Digital Technology Transformation on in Post Covid Era, and Sustainable Business in Post Covid Era.

    The inaugural session of Vishleshan 2021 saw deliberations on how the world order has changed during the pandemic and how society was adapting to these changes. Speakers presented insights on how the future is shaping up and opportunities and challenges in a post-COVID-19 world.

    Speaking on the changes, we have seen during COVID 19 days, Dr. M J Xavier, Chairperson, LIBA Management Development CentreChennai said that the Pandemic forced us to look at new skills, 25% of workers need to add new skills to stay employed post-pandemic, it is estimated that in the next 10 years, 65% of jobs will be new to the world. So, it is imperative for educators to bring in a curriculum that would prepare students for future jobs. According to him Reengineering our education system for the future will be the most important task for our policymakers and educators post-pandemic.

    Dr. Xavier also said that even though we are seeing a revival of various industries, money is not coming into the country. Investment is not happening in the country as we have expected, and the government is tapping into various avenues to generate funds. Consumer attitudes have changed, people have become more conscious buyers as purchases are currently centered on most basic needs. Buying local and digital commerce are the most evident changes we have seen during the pandemic.

    During his Keynote address Dr. Eesa Mohammed Bastaki, President, University of Dubai said that future digital economies will need new humane leadership which can be built only by giving focus on education.  According to him, UAE is developing A Post-Oil strategy, with emphasis on renewable and sustainable energy, which is focusing on building the economy for the next fifty years. Quality education with a focus on research is a core focus area. This is a must for building a future-ready economy focusing on Research, business development, innovation, incubation with a world-class ICT

    infrastructure. For the world to become sustainable economically, there is a need to focus on all important elements of the 4th industry revolution i.e., Blockchain, IoT, Bigdata, Robotics, AI / AR, Biotech, Nanotech, Cloud Computing, and 3D printing and the one technology which covers all of these will be 5G. According to him, focus on these technologies will help us build the future green economy and create future green jobs which are economically feasible.

    Dr. Manish Kothari, Managing Director, ISBR Business School, said that changes are happening at every front. Strategies, industries, and manpower requirements are changing so it is necessary for institutions to come forward, deliberate, and present research-based papers to the world, and make aware of the changes that are happening and how to adapt to those changes. According to him, the future is going to be blended, we need to have the technology, AI, and all 5G instruments in place to see that we are able to deliver from wherever you are in this world. He said that education should be the main focus area and ensure that the learning process is continuous. Grooming leaders of tomorrow should be the main goal of the institution as they are going to shape our future.

    Dr. Y Lakshman Kumar, Director, ISBR Business School, during his welcome address said that “we at ISBR believe that research enhances the holistic development of the faculty, students, and society at large. We have seen several changes in the past one year, companies are looking at revisiting and redesigning their products and services, rethinking the ways of working, and reimagining the structure of organizations. Reshaping our talents or reskilling or upskilling has become the new norm for the employees”.
