ISRO launches observation satellite EMISAT today

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched its latest observation satellite EMISAT at 09:27 this morning.

The launch vehicle PSLV-C45 lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikotta carrying EMISAT and 28 other customer payloads.

ISRO has said that the main satellite EMISAT and the 28 customer satellites will be ed into two different orbits, and later, the fourth stage engine of the rocket will be taken to a third orbit in space.

The foreign satellites include 24 from the United States, two from Lithuania and one each from Switzerland and Spain.
