The Income Tax Department has conducted searches at 13 premises across Delhi, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh in connection with a group. An official release said, the group is controlled by persons who are occupying responsible political positions and has been generating large amounts of undisclosed income over several decades. One of the persons covered during the search operation was trying to obtain citizenship of a Caribbean Island.

During the investigation, the IT department detected undisclosed foreign assets of over 200 crore rupees from the person apart from domestic tax evasion of more than 30 crore rupees.
AIR Chandigarh correspondent reports that an Income Tax team from Delhi had searched premises linked to Haryana Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi. The team had searched Hisar residence of Mr Bishnoi for almost 72 hours. The team also questioned the Bishnoi family.
Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has said that the Income Tax department took action against Bishnoi family as per law.
