Union Minister Gen VK Singh,  today addressed a gathering in Leh in connection with Jan Jagaran on Article 370. Gen Singh alleged that Article 370 had allowed separatism and corruption in the Kashmir valley by a few families. He said, Gram Panchayats were never given the powers to implement plans for their village development resulting in backwardness. Referring Baltistan and Gilgit regions, he said that considering the atrocities by Pakistan on people in these regions, they may soon join as part of Ladakh.

General Singh praised the people of Leh and Kargil for their courage shown right from 1947 to Kargil war in 1999. He assured all weathers roads to connect Ladakh with rest of the country within a year’s time.

Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, senior state BJP Leaders and others took part in the Jan Jagaran on Article 370.
