Guwahati: The BJP’s ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’ has received an overwhelming response from the people so far ahead of this year’s Tripura Assembly elections. The Jan Vishwas Yatra, popularly known as ‘Rath Yatra’ in Tripura, is scheduled to conclude on Thursday at umakanta ground here, where the party’s national president addressed a gathering. “Nadda landed at the MBB airport at 11 am on January 12 and went to interact with people living in lankamura, a border village in Agartala.
They have checked whether they are getting government schemes or not. BJP national president JP Nadda on January 12 said road connectivity projects were almost stalled during the UPA rule in Tripura, but now, lakhs of villages across the country are being connected through the PM Gram Sadak Yojana during the BJP’s tenure.
The BJP national president said over 4,700 km of roads are being constructed to connect villages in Tripura alone.Unlike the corrupt policies and allocations under previous governments, the Modi government’s initiative of PMAY yielded results by constructing over 3 crore houses for poor people. “The inclusion of TB, tetanus and measles vaccines in national health programmes was a matter of more than decades, but Modi ji took only 9 months to develop vaccines for Covid by forming a task-force soon after it hit the country in January 2020,” he said. Nadda said that under the Congress rule, be it about submarines, helicopters or bullet proof jackets, even everything related to defence was affected by corruption. “Under the leadership of PM Modi, we have registered a growth of more than 300% in defence exports. Vivekananda ji had predicted that India will move forward as a self-reliant country. I am happy to share that the youth of India are moving in the same direction under the leadership of PM Modi ji.
