Jason Cooney Joins Tech Advisors as Cybersecurity Engineer

Tech Advisors, a leading technology solution provider for small to mid-sized businesses founded by CPAs and specializing in providing IT and technology services to the CPA field, today announced the appointment of Jason Cooney of Hudson, MA, to the position of cybersecurity engineer.

In this capacity, he will consistently examine, enforce, and improve upon established cybersecurity policies.  He will also continually advance his professional knowledge by staying up-to-date on the latest strategies, attacks, and counter-attack measures.

Cooney brings more than 12 years of information technology experience in various industries to his role at Tech Advisors, having most recently served as a systems administrator for Moderna Therapeutics.  Additionally, Cooney has a Bachelor of Science in cybersecurity/information assurance from Utica College and a Master of Science in information technology/information assurance from the University of Maryland.   He is a certified technical specialist, and has earned certifications in Microsoft server installation and configuration, fundamental system troubleshooting, network fundamentals, and creating a subnet.  Additionally, he has completed training courses in CompTIA Network and CompTIA Security.

Cooney also spent eight years in the United States Marine Corps, specializing in supply and logistics.  He and his wife Lucy live in Hudson with their two children Isabella (four years old) and Sean (eight months).  His son Ryan is a freshman at Hartwick College, and Lucy’s daughter Rachel is a senior in high school.  In his free time, Cooney enjoys traveling and spending time with his children.
