  • New Delhi : Students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology celebrated Diwali in a unique way.  To make the festival of lights brighter for the underprivileged children, the students designed decorative diyas and gifted them to the slum families in Hauz Khas village.

They also did a rally on the streets of Hauz Khas Village to spread the joy of giving and bring smiles on the faces of the children of the slums nearby.

“Diwali, the festival of lights and love is just round the corner and we wish to spread happiness and light in maximum underprivileged homes and street families this year by distributing colorful Diyas to them. This is a small gesture of ours to spread joy around us”, said Gurpreet Kaur, Fashion Design student

All the diyas were especially handmade by the students and were gifted to not only the underprivileged children but also to street vendors and other nearby people on the streets. Cheers to the combined effort of our creators and their mentors.
