The Jammu & Kashmir Government today issued security advisory for Amarnath Yatris and tourists to curtail their stay in Kashmir valley in view of terrorist threats.

An order issued by state Home Department said, the advisory has been issued considering latest intelligence inputs of terror threats with specific targeting of the Amarnath Yatra.

Earlier, Lt Gen KJS Dhillon, GoC Chinar Corps and State Police Chief Dilbagh Singh in a joint press conference in Srinagar said that militants of Lashkar, Jaish & Ansar Ghazwatul Hind are planning to carry out attack on Amarnath Yatra with the support of Pak army.
They informed that joint forces of Army, Police & CRPF conducted massive search operations along the Amarnath Yatra routes from Baltal & Pahalgam and recovered huge cache of arms including mines with Pak army marks and American M-24 Sniper rifle with a telescope.

They said, security operations against militants are on and two top militants of Jaish namely Fayaz Panzoo & Muna Lahori of Pakistan have been eliminated.

The top security officials said that Jaish Terrorist outfit is shifting to (Improvised Explosive Device) (IED) attacks. They said forces have successfully busted five modules of Jaish involved in IED making and IED attacks.

Top officials said that 83% of those who have joined militant ranks had been stone pelters in the past. They appealed mothers to keep away their wards from stone-pelting.

They said leaders of several militant groups have been eliminated and the funding modules have also been targeted.

Our Srinagar correspondent quoting Army & Police officials reports that continuous infiltration attempts are being made by Pakistan Army at LOC in Kashmir in the garb of ceasefire violations but security forces have been neutralised these attempts.
