  • J&K: Police announce Rs 30 lakh reward for any information on three Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists

    In Jammu and Kashmir, Police has announced a cash reward of 30 lakh rupees for any information leading to the capture of three Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists, including Mohammad Amin alias “Jehangir Saroori”. Mohammad Amin is believed to be the brain behind the revival of terrorism in Chenab valley region.

    The posters in Kishtwar have been put up at busy market places carrying the pictures of the three active terrorists. The posters also carried two phone numbers for informants to share the information leading to capture of the dreaded terrorists. The police also assured people of keeping informant’s identity secret. Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishtwar district has expressed the hope that  people will provide the necessary information leading to their capture or killing.

    AIR correspondent reports that a couple of days ago, Doda police had announced a cash prize of 15 lakh rupees on the capture of two Hizbul terrorists, MBA graduate-turned-terrorist Haroon Abbass Wani and Masood Ahmad.  Kishtwar district in Jammu region has been rocked by a series of terror strikes including the killing of a senior BJP leader and an RSS functionary since November last year. However, on September 28 this year, the security forces achieved a major breakthrough against terrorists active in the district when they killed three terrorists including dreaded Osama Bin Javed in a gunfight in nearby Ramban district.
