In Jammu and Kashmir, two Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Anantnag district today.

Security officials said the gunfight started after a joint team of Army, Special Operations Group of State Police and CRPF launched a search and cordon operation at Kotwali Gali in Lal Chowk area late last night.

The operation was launched following intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.

The encounter has now ended. Combing operation is underway.
