Reacting sharply on the apprehension running high and deep among the people of Dima Hasao Dist. and Nagaland, over the statement of the president of Dimasa National Council (DNC), which appeared in various print media on 16^th July, where they alleged that the Naga revels are committing atrocities against the Dimasas living in Nagaland, stated Shri Frezer Sengyung, General Secretary, Jadikhe Naisho Hoshom (JNH), Dimasa Apex Body, Haflong, Dima Hasao Dist. Assam in a press note on Friday.

 

Jadikhe Naisho Hoshom (JNH), The Dimasa Apex Body, made an immediate Telephonic contact with high profile leaders of Dimasa Public Organization of Nagaland, and knew from them that there is no such kind of incidence of atrocities being carried out against the Dimasas of Nagaland, by the Naga rebels and the Dimasa-Naga relationship in Nagaland are still tight and based on mutual respect existing since time immemorial. They also said that they never heard the name so called Dimasa National Council (DNC) except JNH, who always speaks and appeals the people in the interest of peace and harmony in all Regions. The DNC never consult with the Dimasas of Nagaland before placing their demand to the Govt. of India. It was only from Newspaper they have come to know of their demand and allegations made against the Naga Rebels, which they condemned through a press release on 17^th July. They further inform that they rather want early and happy ending of Indo-Naga peace talk.

The JNH, sensing something fishy suspected the involvement of high handed trouble mongers, call upon the self proclaim leaders of DNC unrecognized, frontal organizations and intellectuals of Dima Hasao and held a meeting at Dibarai, Haflong, on 19^th July. It was found that the DNC and their demands are not known to everyone present in the meeting and people of Dima Hasao in general. Moreover, organization leaders are not the recognized person of any social activities in the dist. this have increased the JNH, the suspect of involvement of third force in their unrecognized movement.

The self proclaim leaders were given opportunity to speak out to the gathering regarding their base of allegation made against Naga rebels, their demands and future strategies. They completely fail to deliver satisfactory answer which have made the gathering more complicated to understand and higher the range of fearful involvement of third force behind the DNC’ unrecognized movement.

Thus the JNH, and on the general consensus of the leaders of frontal organization and intellectuals of Dima Hasao Dist, in the greater interest of peace and development of all communities denigrate the Dimasa National Council (DNC) and their riotous allegation made against the Naga Rebels.

Further, the JNH, appeal the general people of both communities to maintain distance and be cautious from being used by the third force to attain and gain their personal agendas and public figure at the cost of own community.
