  • Introduction

Enterprises had already laid out the blueprint to go digital in the pre-covid era. This was in light of pulling India, up to the ambitious mark of emerging as a $10 trillion economy. Keeping this in mind, the government initiated a wide-scale skilling programme across various sectors, with a special emphasis laid on imparting digital literacy to learners and professionals.

    The pandemic scenario
The pandemic catalysed the fourth digital revolution propelling enterprises to go digital. Currently, our workforce comprises of less than 15% digitally skilled professionals. With efforts towards skilling becoming decentralised, EdTech companies are able to work hand in glove with government bodies, and complete the ambitious target of imparting skill coupled with digital literacy to over 12 million learners and professional by 2025.

    The problem
In most cases, learners and professional are unable to identify the difference between education (domain skills) and soft-skills. Education serves as a tool to the profession, but skill lies in applying the acquired knowledge at the fitting moment, while on floor. Learners and professionals need to be multi-skilled in order to accord to the growing requirement of the workforce.

    Restructuring the Hiring Process
By employing Data Analytics and AI, Enterprises are a little more aware of profiles required in their workforce to enhance profitability of the enterprise and to bridge the gap in the workforce. Today, we are restructuring our hiring process more profitably, as we are now focused on the skill possessed by the individual instead of relying on referrals.

    How opportunities are created?

EdTech companies have join hands with prestigious enterprises in order to train learners and professionals in profiles enlisted by the enterprise. The course pedagogy is thoughtfully designed keeping the enterprises ethos in mind. Upon the successful completion of the course, learners are not only given a co-created certification, certifying the successful completion of the course, but are later absorbed into the workforce.
By doing this EdTech companies play a crucial role at leveraging the country’s GDP more advantageously. The placements offer to the youth gives them an opportunity to rise well above the poverty line by an average of 115%.

    Penetration of Techs

After understanding the nuances and advantage of technology, enterprises are now open about creating hybrid teams that could work remotely from any location. These Hybrid teams contribute to the company’s financial gains and also keeps the receding economy from crumbling down like a pack of cards.

Technology is an advantage and a boon for enterprises who’d like to spotlight themselves the global arena. While many professionals assume, with companies going digital they’ll lose their job. What they do not realise is that there is a whole lot of skill required to steer things digitally. In fact digitisation is uplifting the stance of learners and professionals in the corporate space.
