Dr. Anamika Chawhan’s school life was very tough. She was a CBSE student, born and brought up in a small town in Gaya, Bihar. She faced her first failure in her 9th standard where she had to repeat the whole year.

Her parents didn’t know what to do with her when she failed. But in 10th Standard she worked really hard and managed to score 90%. Dr Anamika is a perfect example of hard work and discipline making wonders. As they say Success is a goal that many desire in life but don’t understand that failure must be endured before success can be attained.

Her parents noticed that Dr. Anamika had developed an interest for commerce, so they sent her to Delhi’s Mount Carmel School to study further. Yet, Maths was more difficult to study in 11th & 12th where she failed again in her 12th Board exam in Math subject. This created a turmoil in her life. She was frustrated and unhappy with her results. Eventually, she passed in Maths.

These two academic failures did not stop her from pursuing her further studies. These failures taught her there is much more that contributes to their relentless pursuit towards Success. When she failed in 9th grade, she had a ‘what’s the point of education’ mentality, but her failure in 12th Board exams motivated her to study further and get into colleges. She then got into Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) where she completed Bachelor of Arts Honours in English. She studied literature through self-study. 

After finishing her college she decided to go for an MBA and started preparing for the entrance exams. She got into Mody University, where she pursued her MBA in HR & IT. 

She came across the Knowledge Management System (KMS) where concepts were explained in a systematic manner to build a foundation of data and knowledge that would help in decision making. This helped her understand the nature of the problems and how they could be solved effectively. The subject was difficult to grasp in the beginning, but with time, she mastered it.

She went on to pursue a PhD in Knowledge Management from IIT-Bombay in 2011. Dr Anamika Chawhan is a perfect example of not giving up and charting your own destiny. Rather than getting bogged down by failures, one should use it as a tool to turn their lives around. She proved how determination and hard work can bring success in anyone’s life, no matter what the circumstances are.

Dr. Anamika was fascinated by the field of knowledge management and the way it can be used to solve complex problems. She had always been interested in solving problems so this path was like a life changer for her as she could now use her skills to solve real world problems. After completing her PhD, she continued teaching in colleges as a professor and also ran a school. Currently she is a full time Business & Life Skills Coach and Master Trainer for other coaches. She now runs her own firm called ‘Magnificent U’ .
