  • New Delhi: Extreme Adventure Sports Company “Jumpin Heights” focusing on Bungy Jumping thrills has announced the commencement of this seasons Bungy Jumping session starting 15th September 2011 to 15th Jul 2012.

    With the Tag line ““HAVE YOU GOT GUTS?” Jumpin Heights has for the very first time,

    brought to India, Bungy Jumping from a 83 meters cantilever platform and Asia’s longest 1 km long Flying Fox.

    The jump point is located on the scenic Neelkanth Road, at Mohanchatti, 13 km’from Laxman Jhula at Rishikesh. The site is 25 km’s from the Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun) and 230 kms by road from New Delhi. It also adds another feather to Rishikesh, already synonymous with other adventure sports like white water rafting and Mountaineering related activities.

    Jump packages are available from as low as Rs 1,500 to Rs 4000 between 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.

    Mr Rahul Nigam, Managing Director Jumping Heights said “There is a wide spread belief amongst foreigners that Indians in general are not very adventurous and are not conscious about safety practices. We wanted to break that myth and therefore from such comments germinated the idea of providing an extreme adventure zone with global safety standards at half the cost compared to New Zealand and Australia”.

    Jumpin Heights also plans to get the Giant Swing operational by mid October 2011

    Jumpin Heights offers a classy ambience in its café, where one can watch the activities of their near and dear ones live on the plasma screens sipping Lavazza Coffee / Cold drinks and munching mouth watering snacks with a scenic view.

    Jumpin Heights has also made available a host of souvenirs like T-Shirts, Caps, Mugs, Key Chains, Fridge Magnets and Coasters. Jumpers can buy their jump video DVD’s and photos taken by state of the art cameras fitted for each activity.

    Bungy Jumping is very famous in New Zealand & Australia.  “To study safety procedures for Bungy we visited more than 11 sites taking expert opinions on safety procedures.  Bungy standards presented by us are based on the Bungy standards and practices followed in Australia and New Zealand” further added Mr Nigam.

    The jump staff is trained in ropes, knots and harnessing procedure, experienced in extensively practiced Rescue Operations, first aid by St. John’s Ambulance Delhi. First aid kit is available on site at all times. Complete equipment has either been imported or manufactured as per the best international standards.
