Filmmaker Kashyap Bhadani has joined the production of the upcoming musical drama “Christmas Angel,” starring R&B music artist DaniLeigh.
“I’m very grateful to be a part of this amazing project from the talented LazRael Lison,” Bhadani Said. “Having come from directing films and music videos, I’m especially excited about working with DaniLeigh and LazRael in this engaging tale about a young singer trying to make it in the music industry.”
The movie tells the story of troubled R&B Music megastar Angel St. James whose car breaks down on a desolate road. A simple stranger offers to help fix her car. She decides to step out on faith and enjoy Christmas with this random stranger and his 8-year-old daughter and discovers the magic of Christmas, love and the family she always wanted.
The cast includes Skyh Black (“All the Queen’s Men”), Elise Neal (“Hustle & Flow”), Romeo Miller (“Honey”), Tamar Braxton (“Being Mary Jane”), Daniel O’Reilly (“The Girl on the Mountain”) and Presley Alexander (“2023 Armageddon”).
“This was an enjoyable project to work on,” said Bhadani, who served as first assistant director. “I was a pivotal part of the production team where I was in charge of scheduling the shoot, making the shot list involved in creative decisions as well as the main in charge of the shoot onset. it was a 30-day shoot.”
Bhadani comes to the project after having worked with Indian music superstar Diljit Dosanjh to develop and create his music videos for his recent single “Case,” as well as the videos for his previous singles “Lover,”.
He also recently worked with actor/comedian Andrew Bachelor, also known as King Bach (“TheBabysitter”), on an educational YouTube video series produced by Dhar Mann Studios.
Bhadani is also known for his work on the recent music video for Punjabi music artist Shubh’s hit single “Cheque,” which reached the top 10 of the Billboard chart for India.
